Jacksonville Offshore Fishing Charters
Go Where the Big Fish Are
Some of Jacksonville's best fishing happens well past the beach.
MACSEA Fishing runs trips from a half day up to 11 hours, with the range to reach water as far as 70 miles offshore when the trip and conditions call for it. Shorter trips work the reefs, wrecks and hard bottom closer in. Longer trips open up more water and more species.

Offshore Fishing with MACSEA
Every Trip Starts With What's Happening Today
Fishing doesn't follow a script.
Water conditions change. Bait moves. Different fish show up throughout the year. A spot that was hot yesterday might not be where we start tomorrow.
That's why Capt. Mark keeps the focus on the conditions and opportunities in front of us.
We can troll for wahoo and mahi, drop on structure for snapper and grouper, drift, or deep drop with electric reels when conditions allow, and adjust throughout the trip as we figure out what the fish want.
That's offshore fishing. Go find them and make the most of the day you've got.

4-Hour Half Day Trip

6-Hour Trip

More time means more range. The 6-hour trip gives Capt. Mark room to push farther out for species like mahi mahi, cobia, kingfish, snapper and grouper.

8-Hour Full Day Trip
$1,300 for up to 4 anglers
A full day offshore for anglers who want to put in serious time on the water. Bottom fishing for snapper and grouper, trolling for mahi and kingfish, and shots at amberjack and cobia are all in play.

11-Hour Extended Day Trip
$1,800 for up to 4 anglers
This is the long run. The extended day gives Capt. Mark the time to reach deep offshore water for wahoo, mahi, sailfish and other blue water species.

Extended Day Wahoo Trip (Seasonal)
$2,100 for up to 4 anglers
An 11-hour trip built around one of the fastest fish in the ocean. When wahoo season is on, this trip is all about putting you on them. Available seasonally, typically fall through early spring.
WHAT COULD WE CATCH?
Jacksonville Gives Us Options

The offshore fishery changes throughout the seasons, which means there's rarely just one species worth looking for.
-
Wahoo - Wahoo hit hard and run fast, and they're one of the most sought-after fish off Jacksonville.
-
Blackfin Tuna - Blackfin tuna bring a stubborn, hard-pulling fight and excellent eating.
-
Mahi Mahi - Mahi are fast, colorful and a blast to catch, especially when a school lights up behind the boat.
-
Snapper - Mangrove, mutton and vermilion snapper hold around Jacksonville's reefs and wrecks.
-
Grouper - Black, gag, red and scamp grouper give anglers a real test on the bottom.
-
Other Seasonal Opportunities - Cobia, kingfish, amberjack, sailfish and more can show up depending on where we're fishing and the time of year.
The goal isn't to force one particular fish. It's to take advantage of the best opportunities the day gives us.

WHERE WE FISH
Reefs, Wrecks, Hard Bottom & Blue Water
Different water creates different opportunities.
Jacksonville's reefs, wrecks and hard bottom hold snapper, grouper and other bottom species, often with cobia and amberjack nearby. Farther out, deeper offshore water opens up trolling for wahoo, mahi, tuna and sailfish.
Having all of those options is what makes this fishery interesting.
If one area isn't producing, we have somewhere else to look.
THE BOAT
Built for Offshore Days
You'll fish aboard a 32' SeaCraft center console powered by twin 300 HP Suzuki outboards, with room for up to 6 guests.
She's rigged for the offshore game with radar, GPS, sonar, outriggers, tuna tubes, a live bait well and electric reel outlets for deep dropping.

Who Are These Trips For?
You Don't Have to Be an Expert
Experienced anglers will appreciate the range, the variety and the chance to fish different structure and techniques.
Newer anglers can start with a half-day or 6-hour trip and get a real taste of offshore fishing without committing to an 11-hour day.
And families are always welcome. Child-sized life jackets are available, so just let Capt. Mark know the ages of any kids before the trip.
Capt. Mark wants everyone involved.
Ask questions. Grab a rod. Learn something new. And when that line comes tight, hang on.
